At Nascom we had to make some “hard” but fun choices in our flashteam. “Which conferences would you like to visit in 2010.” Well, for starters I decided to skip Flash On The Beach this year, and go for FITC Amsterdam 2010.  So we have received our tickets, and our personal profile page.

By the way: Soon all our Google search results will be spammed with utterly useless personal profile pages like this. Why do organizers keep thinking they can recreate the next and better community website again and again? Terrible. Stop trying please.

As for the other upcoming events we’re having on the Nascom radar for now: The Farata Master Class on Adobe Flex (topics) and upcoming Adobe usergroup events in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Let’s hope we see much, much more events in 2010.

Having missed the Adobe Usergroup Belgium BBQ event because of delays at the airport, I wasn’t planning to miss this “Flash 2000″ meeting. Me, David & Sakri raced to Antwerp’s latest event, Organized by Mr. Henry.

Nascom is again sending it’s delegation to FOTB 2009 in Brighton – UK. This is an event you just cannot miss if you’re a Flash developer. (Or a Flash development company who wants to be taken seriously.) We’re going with a big part the Nascom flashteam. Ricardo, Ilse, Geert, David, Sakri & me.

Looking forward to it… especially “Burger King’s Double whopper“. & the typical British stereotypes we’re gonna see again. Let’s see where the new Flash boundaries are located this year. (And I do mean on any level ;) Happy, happy, happy!

(Btw: It looks like June will be Release month for a whole bunch of things. As Nascom is an official Adobe Partner we ‘re looking forward to have even earlier access to the new product(s).

After having seen the following speakers, Serge Jespers (Adobe), Thomas Joos (Boulevart), Ralph Cohen (IceMobile), Michel van Velde (Oneshoe), Wimer Hazenberg (Booreiland), Ruben Salomon (HotSMS) en Ubi de Feo (TwoDotOne)… I must say, very happy that I went! My appologies for not posting in a very long while.

I haven’t been sitting still however, so litle time was left for developing in my free time. And in the very little time where I still found some energy left, I made some experiments during these last months:

• Google app engine and flex+puremvc development.
• Shooter game experiment in pv3d and WOW physics engine some while ago.
• I’m also busy making collada models in Google Skecthup Pro for papervision from my illustrator Bonzaï logo
• And I did some Nascom Flash Lite development in my free time.

But as they do not seem to be getting online any time soon. I’m only here to tell you that….

Next week I will be leaving with the Nascom team for Milan – Italy. I’ll be attending several sessions about the Adobe Flash Platform and many other Adobe/3th party products and technologies.

There are some rumours going arround. It appears half of the Benelux Flash and flex Developers population is going to be there too.

Anyways, I added my latest sessions schedule to this blogpost. Says alot about my goals/interests for the near future.

Very happy to go ofcourse, my first time on Adobe MAX. This year 1st-4th of December in Milan, Italy. Together with 3 other collegues from Nascom. The others prefered to go to FOTB08.

For sure it will be a different atmoshpere then Flash On The Beach last year in Brighton – UK. Still I wanted to do something different this year. Hopefully I will see much more Flex sessions in Milan. Anyway, still a long time…

I’m looking forward to it!
